WHAT IT'S LIKE

people always askin’
what’s it like in Iraq
here’s somethin’ you won’t find
on the newspaper rack
you wake in the mornin’
choppers hoverin’ near
.50 cals are blazin’
somewhere in the rear
every day’s the same
eleven months to go
people reenlisting
for the tax free dough
we ask how ya doin’
the family and the wife
months passing by
a year of wasted life
we put on the gear
and roll the craps dice
some are know to make
the greatest sacrifice
we return to the states
to applause of a nation
but all we done over here
is protect the corportation
this is what we’ll say
reminiscing in bars
that we all risked our lives
for K B and R
